SPE’s New Show: PlastChicks 101 Launches Starring Sumitomo (SHI) Demag as the First Guests

On July 24th, 2025, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag featured as the first guest on a new series by SPE, Society of Plastics Engineers: PlastChicks 101.

Known for their award-winning podcast, PlastChicks Podcast, Lynzie Nebel and Mercedes Landázuri star again as the hosts of this exciting new show. PlastChicks 101 is an educational series seeking to explore the major plastics and plastics processes through a fun, fresh way. The first episode on injection molding features Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, well-known for being a worldwide manufacturer of the highest-performing injection molding machines. Steven Ross, Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy, and Tony Marchelleta, National Sales Manager, share their insightful expertise as they dive into the fundamentals of injection molding.

The episode was filmed in Sumitomo (SHI) Demag’s open facility, the Chicago Applications Center.
